I wouldn't say slaying but I've been doing pretty well. Been spending some time in the park trying to get my hands on one of those big small stream browns. Haven't found what I'm looking for. Probably gonna switch back to the Clinch with it getting a little colder in the mountains.

Yeah good luck with that. I’m too impatient to do that lol. People are all over the clinch rn to give you a heads up. Miller’s island, weir, the dam, doesn’t matter where you go lol. If you head to the clinch soon they are eating on a size 18 pink and white pheasant. My buddy thinks they are keening in on eggs but I’m going to test that theory soon within a couple of weeks. We outta link up and fish then hit the brewery right there lol

Thanks for the heads up man. Thats the only negative to the clinch. People get packed in like sardines since there's barely and public access. Interesting theory on the eggs and I guess it could make sense given spawning. But yeah, always game to fish and drink beer. Shoot me a pm with your number and I'll hit you up next time I'm heading out that way.

Palomino trout. It's a hatchery mutant found in the northeast.

When the dog wants to go fishing I have to oblige him... or what kind of fishing buddy would I be?! :O)
Today on the Trinity River, North Cali.

This guy is always ready to go fishing, rain or shine or snowy cold!

This morning on the Trinity River. Haven't seen another fisherman in 2 days, that's a rarity for these waters.

Pretty common to find solitude on the Klamath but very rarely on the Trinity.

That’s awesome man. I’m so jealous. I’d love to have a red ripping drag on a fly.
