Yes , We get the same thing at our local trout water .most of my fly fishing friends carry a small plastic bag & we pick all of the Power Bait jars, Dunkin Donut cups & discarded fishing line. Some people are pigs. On a better note, the ice is gone on our water & we cought our first fish on monday.

    Tight Lines,

    Nice Mike!
I hope to catch my first of the season today. I Hit the battenkill opening day with no luck. Talked to a lot of people that didn't catch anything either so that made me feel better haha tough this early but we'll see how it goes today.

Not really sure where to put this pic.

    Steelhead 1, fisherman 0

This is a pic of a boat ramp on the Big Manistee river, here in Michigan. I've put in at this launch many times and have been aware of the drop off once your reach the end of the concrete ramp. It is a complete drop off to roughly 6' in depth.

The truck is owned by a coworker. Awaiting details.

I feel sorry for him. I've been expecting this to happen for years. So in short, use care when using an unfamiliar boat ramp.

When your buddy calls you up and says a creek is on fire but you have two exams you need to study for. Decisions.

Yeah, probably going to have to pass. I'm struggling to keep up as is. If it was closer then I would have went. I'd have to leave at 4 am to get there in time. I would be gone all day and drive back at night.

Did a little fishing after work yesterday and finally hooked up with a few rainbows on my new Orvis set up. Felt good.

    Cheers

Got out fishing dock lights last week for stripers... One 10lb striper, one 12lb striper, and one 8lb bucket mouth.

Not too shabby for a quickie!

Caught 35 rainbows and 5 browns yesterday. The bows were 17-20" on average.
