    This is an older photo from back when I lived in CT. Striped bass on the Connecticut River below the Enfield Dam about 60 miles upstream from the ocean. They come in to spawn in the early spring. Cought on a 9 wt. rod.

    I've been there a ton.

    Was fishing the river, and went into his shop wearing waders and boots through the back door and about 6 or 7 boomer aged folks (both men and women... and their vibe was totebag carrying NPR listeners) were sitting around Fran hanging on his every word about some tale he was spinning. All I really remember about this scene was how terrible Fran's toupee was and how long his fingernails were. Also... when we walked in, everyone turned and stared at us like the boys going into the bar in Animal House. All we needed was Fran to ask, "Mind if we dance with your dates?" Very surreal scene. Don't know if we were invading his sanctum santorium and his meeting... or we had the gall to wear waders in his shop.

    Made my first trip to Pyramid. Weather was too nice, but we were able to find a few nice ones.CFFA0A67-2879-4AB3-A0A3-2B2E9A5616A9.jpgThis was the biggest for the trip. Definitely not huge for Pyramid, but I’ll take it every day of the week.

    I believe you are the one to ask looking at these pictures I’ve never fished Georgia. Where would be a good place to start in Georgia. I fished several states last year and it occurred to me late in the year that I had overlooked some places in the neighborhood.

    I road to Elijay last year to meet a guide he was selling his two rod quiver so he could buy a 4 rod one. It’s some good looking country but I haven’t had the chance to go back yet. I do the transport for our local rescue and my girls don’t mind if I get sidetracked on my way back. So l have started getting non resident annual fishing license’s for states I frequently go through. Last week I purchased Vermont. And I always have my gear with me.
