Very fast shipping. The item I ordered was here before his notice to me saying it would be shipped.

Got my Patagucci sling pack yesterday.
Loaded with features. Really well thought out, it is obvious that they actually took advice from people that fish.
    Wow! Real world product development.

Few things that I really like about it upon first glance:
    - a dry bag sewn in the main pocket. It is about the size of a medium freezer bag.
    - lash points in strategic places for items that you may need to attach.
    - pockets everywhere! Most are tucked away in non-obtrusive spots. The ones on the strap front could get in the way, if they are loaded with too much crap. But the back pouches have plenty of room to store things.
    - great size and weight.

Now to get it out into the water with me. Can't wait.

This weekend was awesome. I caught 2 of my biggest wild trout so far. They came out of a trickle of a stream.

    Also

Im going on about 10 months on my 3rd pair Orvis Silversonic waders and these one are leaking live a sieve too now. At the seams on the knee and at the booties. Ive been exchanging them and its getting pretty old.

Im super tempted to return these ones and just give up on Orvis waders. Sucks because everything else I own from Orvis has been nothing but great. How many of you guys wear Simms waders? Im this close to pulling a trigger on a pair of G3s, but goddamn are they pricey. Are they really worth the 500$ price tag?

I typically fish at least once a week. Sometimes, 2-3 times a week if Im lucky. On a typical day, Ill walk anywhere between 3-8 miles. And most of this walking is brush whacking, since I typically fish small mountain streams. And most of the time fishing is spent crawling over boulders and fallen trees and shit.

Yes! Simms last. I've had mine for several years. Definitely worth the price. I have a buddy who uses them for duck hunting, as well as fishing.

    Thanks!

I flipped my Orvis waders inside out today and filled em up with water. Apparently their sonic welded seams arent waterproof anymore. I have probably 40 days this current pair. Ugh. The seams at both knees were wet, along with the seams where the booties are attached. I think Im givin up and returning them for good this time.

Anyone find deal on the Simms G3s? Every where Ive looked has em for 499$. It seems like they just dont go on sale

Also if you want your waders to last longer save em for the cold months when you're not hiking as far lol. Get yourself a pair of chacos or keens for the summer bluelining.
I was able to find a pair of Simms G3 waist highs last fall for 350. I forget where but they popped on google shopping search. I am usually terrible and unlucky at finding deals lol.

Did my first fly fishing in a river yesterday (Deerfield).:) Had a lot of fun! No fish, but was still great to be out. Surely would have been on cloud 9, had I been catching fish. Really looking forward to the next trip out.
