Grew up in NC Pa. fishing Bradford, Tioga and Potter Counties. Big Sock, Little Sock, Schrader, Big Pine and Little Pine, Slate Run, Kettle Creek and lots more. On recruiting duty in the 80's was stationed down in Lancaster for a year. Got to know a guy by the name of Bob Clouser in Middletown. When I told him I was going back up North to my freestone creeks he turned me onto some of the local ones, my discovery of Limestone. Big Springs, Letort Spring Run, etc. There are more than a few cricks and rivers in Pa. to fly fish :)

Bob Clouser and his minnow pattern!! All those cricks you named are awesome up in the NC. I've only fished the Big and Little Pine, Slate Run, and Kettle Creek. I haven't made it down to the Letort or Big Springs yet, but would like to this year. With the limited time I have now, I normally hit up freestoners close to home, and my go to during warmer months is the Little Lehigh. My resolution this year is to do more fly fishing. A buddy and I were just talking/planning to do some fishing in the Lehigh River this year.

I had no idea there was a fly fishing thread until today. I hit the lake around the house for a while this evening. I didn't catch anything, as expected, but it was an awful nice afternoon to fish.

Well there is fishing creek and spring creek in the middle of the State, further North from the hordes that hit the South Center part of the State. Joe Humphrey's claims there are some pretty big browns in those streams :)

Most of my time is spent in the Laurel Highlands, Allegheny National Forest, and Moshannan/Elk State Forest. I need to venture further east this year. The farthest Ive made it so far has been the Little J.

just found the fly fishing thread on here. Super big into it. Over the summer, off from school i made many trips up to the Truckee area of tahoe to fish the little truckee and truckee river. pictures was from the Little truckee around august, its a blast up there, along with the places a 4x4 tacoma can take you. Fly fishing+backcountry+4x4=awesomeness

also have a couple other recent pictures salmon fishing down in a local over here in the bay area. Got them on a 4wt tfo rod, each one was about a 20-35 minute fight of drag ripping.IMG950182_2.jpg IMG_20161214_164758639.jpg
Im picking up a 7wt tfo rod tomorrow to go along with my ross rapid reel. Cant wait to break them in on pyramid lake this weekend.
Ive been getting more and more into tying flies recently and they're surprisingly decent looking, I'm excited once spring rolls around and the snow clears up in the mountains to make a few trips up there to fish and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city
