I was looking to fabricate a flag holder to show all my Texas pride, and I am curious to see if I could take advantage of the bed rail system. My only concern is that the rails themselves are made out of a plastic-y material and I was concerned that it could break while driving. I was going to make the mount similar to the one that Cali-Raised LED's makes and i assume that it is mean't for driving. Just wanted to check in before I accidentally break the rails and send a whole lotta Texas through someones windshield.

I wouldn't mount to to just the rail. Either get bed stiffeners and attach to that or fab a plate and pipe that goes under 1 of the bed bolts and also attaches to the rail.
