I am away from my truck but I need to know if there is any type of "access window" or access area to the flywheel so I can put a screw driver in the flywheel teeth to keep the engine from turning. Like I said I am away from my truck at work and it eating me up not knowing this. For reference it's a 2.7 liter with an automatic transmission. Thanks for any help .

FYI if you have an automatic transmission then you have a flexplate, not a flywheel. Flywheels are in manual transmissions

Not sure about your question though, maybe @gearcruncher can help ya out

If memory serves me correctly , you can not jam the the teeth of the ring gear with a screwdriver in the 2.7 application . Possibly by removing the starter and a using chunk of wood ,but that would be rather archaic .
I am assuming you are trying to remove some frozen bolts on the front of the engine ?
    Got an impact gun ?

Yeah , I am trying to re-torque the crankshaft bolt back to spec after putting on a new harmonic balancer . I may end up making a tool to hold the pulley

There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum, Homemade Crank Pulley Tool. The tool I made only requires drilling, no welding. I've used it on other cars after changing the timing belt, so it's paid for itself.

Did you thread the bolts in the tool into the holes on the harmonic balancer ?
