    You get it, and then get so used to it that you forget it's there. Then you turn it off once in a while and realize the difference. Reason is that it is so well built and blends just like a stock component.

    The mounting plate is a FR4 (Glass Reinforced Fiber) plate that has
    $8 3M VHB 100x200mm~ (4" X8") Double Sided Foam Adhesive Sheet Tape 5952 Automotive Mounting Industrial Grade Very High Bond 5952 (1 Sheets 100x200mm)
    3M VHB mounting adhesive on one side that sticks to the dash. The V1 and V2W units magnetically mount to this plate for easy battery changes and remote lighting needs.

    The Amber/Orange color that we use is a VERY close match to the 2005-2011 models. You won't be disappointed.

    Glad you asked! Well, we here at flyzeye like our V1 battery-operated designs and kept that in tact... The "wired" V2W is magnetically mounted to the mounting plate (just like the V1). The difference is when you dismount the V2W, it automatically switches to battery power - hence the need for batteries. They are NOT rechargeable by the way.

    Another nice thing about the wired version is that let's say you have the unit at full bright but dim the Tacoma down a bit... If you dismount the light, say to look under the seat or in the center console box, the V2W comes up to full bright (or where ever you set it to when dismounted).

    What platform are you using? ...Windows, Mac, other? I'll try to look into it. I'm NOT a web-master or software geniuous, so I'm guessing I won't figure it out but I can try.
