ahh, it sucks, but at least it's not all mangled up and no one is hurt (presumably).
Get some collision center quotes, and figure out if you want to pay out of pocket, claim it, or just live with the scare of parenting.

My first father-in-law was teaching my first wife to drive. She hit the mailbox and put a dent in his car. At least once a week until he died (years later), he would comment about how he's got that dent almost out....

I understand your pain but no one was hurt and your truck will be looking good again soon!

I got rear-ended back in April - on my birthday. It took 4 months for the new tailgate to finally arrive. But, she's back together now.

Sell the kid, use the money to fix your truck.

Lie about how much he eats or you'll never make the sale.

So I should have explained. I have been trying to get it ceramic-coated for about a year. Every time I went to have it done someone would hit my bumper, or a tree branch would fall on it, or something else. Each time I would have to have to wait for 3 moths for the paint to cure before I could get it coated. I FINALLY get it done, and now this.

    But I appreciate you judgment.

Well that is fucked... I can appreciate that on the basis of my OCD and life/parenting being a whole other level of time management shitshow, and feeling raped when you finally get a chance to do something you want to do versus all the bullshit you must do instead.

Yep, same reason I stopped spending money. More than 3 times I fixed the dent & scratch. All the time some ape in parking lot hitting or side swiping a truck, flying rock. Now I just park all the way in the azz by wall. Far from honda and nissan drivers who can't fit their tiny sedans between lines.

They make color coded touch up paint. I'd do that and live with it.

Make sure you tell the body shop it has a ceramic coat on it.
