    My vasectomy was way cheaper than a ceramic coat. That being said, I let my neighbor borrow my truck all the time. Then again, he's in his 40's

    This is why we can't have nice things. Usually just as I'm finished washing my truck a bird shits on it or a dust storm blows through. Now it doesn't prevent me from washing my truck, but I'm sure as hell not getting it ceramic coated. My luck is worse than the OP's though. I had a shopping cart get blown into the front drivers side corner and dent the fender at the fender to bumper/headlight junction. It bent the edge around the headlight so it can't be easily repaired without replacing the fender. F that. The bodyshop replacement fender will look like shit. It already looks bad. I can live with it. Daily drivers get beat up. If you want no scratches or dents, keep it parked in the garage and never go out.
