Its not as easy as "Hold more inventory". Y'all wanna receive boxes that he's had to store outside and let get soaking wet because he doesn't have room for them?

All of y'all that say "Just order more wheels" or "hold more inventory" obviously have no idea how stocking businesses work. lol

Did Vin make those blue F5's at one point or was that a custom powder coat job? Those are beautiful.

That’s just gunmetal with the one pic having an odd hue or the camera captured some weird incident of light hitting the wheel

I loved my F5s. Only complaint is the paint seems to be really low quality. SCS relies on the hype created by this forum, which is totally fine. But there isn’t a chance I would expand a business just to keep up with hype on a forum.

First I've heard of this. Haven't had any issues with mine. Can you post examples?

Right, don't expand the business to sell more. Keep it where it is and consistently lose sales, new customers, repeat customers, etc. What's the point of growing a business anyway?? Or for that matter, using some tools to help track and project future growth in order to make informed decisions?

Nobody suggests stockpiling like its WWIII but its evident there is a problem here from a consumer's perspective.

    You're funny.

Business Economics 101. Small businesses cannot order large batches or small businesses go out of business.

Yes, because all it takes is “oh I want to expand my business” and *poof* the business is larger. Nevermind the amount of capital investment you have to put into expanding a business. Buying more racks, a heavier duty operating system, a larger building (in California, which ain’t exactly the cheapest place to get space), more employees, etc..

Maybe he’s content with his work/life balance and doesn’t want to be the next “fuel” and sacrifice the incredible customer service he has so that a handful of you whiny shits can get your hands on some wheels.

Also perhaps he’s controlling exactly what he can comfortably handle and still turn a decent profit while maintaining appropriate cash flow unlike some other businesses <cough - Pelfreybilt>

I think both wheels looks great and both looks easy to clean... pretty similar

I am looking to buy 16x8 -25 offset for my taco.
Comparing both, which 1 weigh less?
    I think SCS F5's are 19lbs
I am not sure about FN five star, any idea?

Can you put center caps on SCS F5s?
I saw people put TRD center caps on FN five stars.

I just received and put on my f5's today. I went back and fourth about which wheel and finally went with these. I couldn't be more happy with them. I would be posting pics but ran out of time before the sun went down

I love the design of both wheels but as a whole, FN was able to get me the wheels I wanted within a very reasonable timeframe rather than having to wait and wait and wait and simply “Hope” that I could click “checkout” in my cart fast enough to snag some SCS wheels. That being said, Dustin at FN is a stand up guy and took lots of his time to talk to me in detail about what I wanted specifically in a wheel and the options that were available. Dustin even recalled our conversations from approx 2yrs prior when I went to order my second set of FN wheels. Not hating on SCS, just stating that I don’t understand or appreciate it when a company doesn’t stock enough product to be available for consumers (especially when it’s a repeated stocked item, not a limited run).
