IMG_0107.jpg I absolutely agree @singletrack_ftw Dustin over at FN Wheels was fantastic and very helpful. I couldn't be more happy with my decision.

I went with F5’s and am not disappointed...at all. The exact wheel I wanted was in stock and Vin & Co.’s customer service has been second to none. I love both the F5 and 5 Star wheel, though I would not hesitate to buy from SCS again based on my personal experience. 2A086B0B-CFF6-4299-8F22-C69F268BB00B.jpg7CF4E58C-F86A-45D9-9683-3D418BF0015D.jpg 1BE39D64-8AF1-4D66-86D5-9BFE5B16BFBB.jpg3F7D62A5-B001-4CDE-98EF-9FC52870A71A.jpg

I am looking to buy those XLT tires.
How's the ride? Are those 285/75r16?

Those cooper XLTs are the lightest 10ply 33s I can find out there...

    Nice!!!

    Those are 295/75r16.

The ride is great. It’s my DD and I commute 40 minutes 1 way to work 3-4 days per week, so Road performance, especially wet traction, was a top consideration.

I’m used to BFG KO1’s and these handle/feel like a dream compared.

I toiled over tires for months. Between the relatively light weight, the fact they come in 295/75 and the aggressive look, I finally settled on these. So far so great. We’ll see how they do off road next week.

No offense but it sounds like excuses, order more stock, take back orders, don’t turn away customers. I’ve wanted a pair of F5 for 3 years and have never seen what I want in stock except one time when you only had 3 wheels left. What the hell do you do with 3 wheels. I went black rhino, maybe someday I can afford wheels again and catch you at the right 15 minute 1 day a year window to actually order a set of 5 wheels.

I chose the Five Stars just cause I like Dustin's customer service. He's a great guy and taught me about how SCS grew. Wouldn't hesitate to buy F5's though.

I've been on the hunt for new wheels to clear my rear shocks. I just got chastised in another thread for saying they are like Supreme of wheels. Except they do deliver a great wheel for the $. What i mean is they are like all the new clothing brands, in terms of keeping demand up,supply down and creating hype then selling through "drops".
Same thing, I get the business model and thats fine, but you get attacked for even mentioning it. Anyways, I stumbled on this thread since I am buying the FN five star. Dustin is the fricking man.
I called him and guess what? First it was a breath of fresh air talking to someone, second, he could actually tell me when there is availability. I mean that shouldn't sound shocking, but after trying to figure out how to order wheels, or when the "drop" will be through SCS, it was actually very nice to hear.
    Getting the 16x8 3.5" backspace.

I would have loved to buy F5's but not a fan of the whole cult/drop/wait everyday on insta game. Will post pics when I get em.

I think it’s part of the fun to be able to get them or find em if you are into the wheels themselves. IMO tho they are not hard to get, blems seem to be readily available and even when they have new releases just make sure you go on the site 5 minutes before they are released and you should get them.

you also don’t have to cult follow on Instagram, they also announce it on tacomaworld if you just subscribe to the new inventory thread

the alternative is the used market, seems like in Washington you can always find a used set on Facebook marketplace etc

    Good to know thanks.
Issue is it would be nice to know when the F5 in certain size plan to be in stock. I have no idea and its held until a small time before.
How do you make decisions when you dont have a timeline. I'm happier about my experience with FN. No hard feelings, I just need the wheels ASAP to clear my shocks
