should work... someone just posted in another thread that they bought a set of 2nd gen rims for winter tires and the TPS sensors worked for him.

I'm debating which wheels to get, and these are very tempting...

Cool beans. I am now trying to find out how these wheels look with stock sized tires. I like having my gas mileage, speedo, etc where they need to be. The stock wheels are 7.5" so adding 265/70 sized tires to a 8" rim will still be big enough around to wack the speedo out. As much as I like the looks of everyones KO2 I dont use the truck off road enough to justify anything except all-season. We do get a few feet of snow and I am on dirt 10% of the time but as I mentioned I would like a good gas mileage tire and keep the speedo on the money.

these are 17's, so your gonna have to go to like a 265/65 for the same total overall height

just make sure its a load C tire then. Having to get a load E will ruin the weight savings with these.

as an example, i just did a quick search and it looks like K02's are only available in E for 265/65 but in both C and E in 276/70

Has anyone been able to find a black TRD center cap for these wheels yet? I like the silver but I think black would look better. Just my 2 cents.

Don't worry about the wheel width. You only care about outer diameter for gearing and speedometer purposes. 265/65R17 and 265/70R16 are within 0.1% of each other in terms of outer diameter and speedometer readings, regardless of wheel width. Just get the right tire for the wheel and you'll be fine.

Hmm, I was looking at the Defender LTX M/S and dont even see a Load rating on tirerack. I also notice a few of the tires I am reading about dont een come in a 265/65/17 which is what is on my stock TRD sport.

Just go with a 265/70. Many more options and it will change the speedo like 1 mph at 70

The TRD type center caps were out of stock so I didn't get them. I think I will end up going with red TRD decals, saw someone made them but no to find the post. My tracking number says they will arrive today, assuming the fedex guy will walk across the street for a signature. I am not a aftermarket wheel guy which is why I even considered these, so close to stock but better.

Found out the hard way that Huf Intellisens UVS3030 (TPMS) will not work with these. The opposed mounting surfaces on these wheels are a bit thinner than stock, so there wasn't enough thread to close down on the wheel. Looks like I'll be grabbing some uber expensive OEM's. I'm finding it difficult to find a tire shop who is competent enough to configure them anyway, otherwise I would just go with the UVS3031's.

Sounds good, I will try to post some pics when it is done. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about tires yet, most likely LTX M/S 265/70/17. The black Friday deals are over so i might start making calls to local stores for a good deal.

I know this is a little different, but I put the wheels off my 16 sport on my FJ and the dealership tried to leave the sensors from the Tacoma in the fj but they couldn't get it to reprogram. Also worth noting the warranty on your Tacoma sensors are while they are used on your newer one.

As much as it will cost me a few bucks more I'm going to have them remove the newer sensors and install in the FN wheels (which came in the mail today!). I'll have the old sensors removed and installed into the 2017 wheels so I don't have any wacky crap going on. Total pain in the ass but I'm 46 years old and I'm done jimmy rigging my vehicles unless it serves a purpose. BTW, the wheel I removed to look at this morning was all that I hoped for. The bronze should go well with the white truck. I ordered some TRD red center cap decals and I think they will give it a factory look. Right now I'm certain of the 265/70/17 tire. As much as I like the look of the K02 style tires im going grandpa LTX defender M/S

    Working on it!
Has anyone done or seen the FX PRO wheel in the Titanium Silver like the BFD comes in... I have a MGM Tacoma and I don't like the matte black wheels, add I'm not sold on the grey on grey look.

    Thanks
    Nick

I think titanium silver would look great on MGM.

I got the gun metal instead of matte black. They look black from any distance, but are a gloss finish and reflect light a little better. I have silver truck, and I love the clean look of the wheel.
