$40/Month for a local pest-control service here. They set three bait stations at various places in my yard and maintain them. The Pro's have access to bait's we non-Pro's can't get plus they know all the tricks to keep Rodents out of places where they don't belong. FWIW Citrus tree's are a fav for rodents so be careful if you park near any of those.

Lift? Yea I got one of those
I use peppermint oil. I have a bunch of Ice Breaker mint containers stuffed with cotton balls soaked with the oil. The containers gives you a choice of a small or larger opening to let out whatever amount of smell you want. Granted I'm in Hawaii, but neighbors have tall grass and every now and then rats come around. I place these everywhere on the exterior of the truck when I know I won't be driving for some time. Only its a bit of a pain to always remove, but it gives me peace of mind that my wires aren't being chewed. Tomcat traps are everywhere else along the walls. To hear them go off at night, makes me happy, except the clean up in the morning.

Sticky pad traps (get the rat size for max coverage) placed around where you park if indoors.

Problem with poison, is they always tend to crawl into the a place you can't find them and the smell takes forever to go away. Fine if in the wall, not so fine when they crawl into the dash or interior fan motor. BTDT

From what I've read on the Next Door App, the ones I had in my yard died in my neighbors pool LOL!

Awesome, thank you for this link! They have a few drop down options available when ordering, would you happy to know what options I should be selecting?

I have been looking into the ultra sonic devices that attach to battery and turn on when the car turns off, might see how that does.

If you use a 22 gauge wire to repair it, you will want to select TS025-SL5 for the seals, and TS025-SKT2 for the terminals

To the OP: Those little fuckers will be back. I guarantee it. Make sure you mouse proof that engine compartment. They remember.
