Just picked up an 08 PreRunner Access Cab TRD Sport as a first rig for my son. Yeah, 2wd, get over it. (Yes, i've been lurking a little)

Rig has ~110K miles on it, pretty solid little truck. Reason for Access Cab? Can only get a couple people in it, and the longer bed will be much better for him to throw the KTM in the back.

Reason for 2WD? I had a 74 Dodge Ramcharger as my first rig, I know what I did with that thing, enuf said.

I have to say, it's been a long time since I've ridden or driven a Taco, and I'm pretty damned impressed with the 2nd Gen drivability. I may have to look at one as a replacement for my Ram 2500 MegaCab this year as I downsize.

Anyway, just saying Hey, and appreciate everyones information here. I'm a bit of a gearhead so forums are a godsend.

Welcome! Wish I had gotten a Tacoma for my first vehicle.

    Only took me 12 years!

Truth be told. Selfish secondary reason for picking one up was so I can drive it around in town and I can park the BAT (Big Ass Truck) Trying to get around in a 21+ Foot long rig with zero turning radius is just a huge PITA.
