What's up guys. Just joined TW and pretty excited to get to reading and learn new things through the site! Bought my '17 TRD Sport 4X4 brand new not too long ago, it's got just under 2k miles already! This is my first Tacoma but not my first truck or off road toy. I've had a couple jeeps and other vehicles but I've always been a Toyota guy at heart. Located in Arizona, Phoenix area specifically, and I'm actually looking for any local clubs or Tacoma groups out here that meet regularly. Trying to get feedback and ideas from other enthusiasts as much as I can. Lastly, besides the obvious first mods like suspension, wheels and tires etc. What do you guys consider a crucial mod for a weekend warrior out on the trails, but is mostly a road daily driver?

Welcome to the site. I would just get out and play. Mods will happen to your truck regardless now because you've joined this site. As a good rule have and be familiar with your recovery gear. Go with someone else that can pull you out when your stuck and vice versa, carry a cell phone (that's fully charged) and basic snacks/water/sleeping bag for when a long day turns into a stuck long night.

Thanks! I've actually tried to stock the truck with some recovery gear already that I've kept from past vehicles. Tow rope, traction pads, stuff like that usually I keep in the truck. But yeah guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to prepare for the worst whenever you go out!

Never a bad idea. Usually if you are well prepared there's a better chance for self recovery. Or helping someone else out.

Haha can't disagree there. I'm originally from the Boston area though only been out here about a year and a half so I'm safe!
