    Howdy folks,

Been lurking for awhile, but thought I would introduce myself. I'm a recently retired (medically) army staff sergeant and new dad. Wife and I are very into outdoor activities, hiking mountain biking bushcraft, etc. With the little one in our lives now, my wife suggested we try out overlanding after watching one of our favorite youtubers talk about it as something we can do with kids. I'm trying to figure out the bare minimum stuff I need to get for hitting trails in VA and WV. Rest assured, I'll be doing my due diligence and searching before I piss everyone off with dumb questions. That said, if anyone from VA/WV has any helpful tips, I'd love to hear them.

    Thanks!
