    hello,

I am thinking about upgrading my speakers in my 2016. A local audio store has the auditors on sale for $70 a pair for both the 6x9 and the 6.5. Any thoughts on this? I could buy them and have them installed for $275 out the door. Would this be worth it? I don't want to add an amp or sub but would like some more bass and clearer vocals.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Speakers are all in the ear of the listener. How do YOU like the sound they produce? I have a set of Focal component polyglass in my S2000 (with an amp) and they are awesome.

Thank you for the response. Do you think they will sound okay without an amp? I know some of the higher end speakers don't sound good unless they have 30+ W running to them

I have a set of Infinity speakers in my wife's acura. There is a factory amp with the HU, but I did not put in another amp to drive them. They sound better than OEM, but not as good as they should due to the power.

You can always put them in and see... you can then decide if you need an amp to drive more power to them. Depends how much of an audiophile you are... and what your budget supports.

Aftermarket speakers need a DSP and an amp to get proper results... anything short of that will likely result in minimal improvement at best with a possibility of it sounding worse.
