I have a first gen 2002 Tacoma . Anyways on my last first gen I had some Piaa 520s for fog and their light out put was actually great and I never experienced cracked lenses etc. I need some fogs bc are winters are harsh in Syracuse with tons of lake effects now and sleet/rain often. My Piaa worked great but the housing rusted to shit in just a few years. I was looking at running some Lightforce 170s witht the yellow fog filter but didn't know if they would be too much for highway use. Anyways If you guys can point me in the right direction or give me some other options that would be great. The piaas did well in the conditions but just didn't last. Thanks

Damn man... I've been running a set of PIAA 520's in New England for about 4 years now and no rust at all! Will PIAA warranty them, I thought they were supposed to be warrantied for life or some crap like that?

The lightforce lights might be a bit much for on road use but are great lights. Hopefully someone using them as fogs will chime in though, don't take my word for it.

I'm using factory fogs retrofitted with Blazer projectors and they're excellent. They have a very wide pattern and are pretty bright. For on road use, they might be the best fog lights I've ever had.

I know what you mean, I live in Boston and grew up in Albany (actually went to college a few hours north of you also) so believe me, my lights see some salt! I bought the chrome ones so maybe it makes a difference? Either way, might be worth a shot with the warranty stuff if you really liked them.

It's only been a couple hours, I'm sure people will chime in.
