Why would you need fogs with high beams? As mentioned in the op there is a discussion to be had about practicality of this function at all, but don’t believe this is necessarily the place to have it. I just want to know the full extent of this products capability.
Valid question though. I have off-road lights in place of fogs. Forward only lighting without tails illuminated, off of public roads or when parked is a potential use. Properly aiming fogs without having to cover headlights would be another

Why wouldn't you have more auxiliary lights then? I don't even use my headlights when I'm on the trails after dark. Too much dust and the amber is better suited. And this isn't even all of them on.

When you’re on a really dark dirt road high beams are great, but they shine past what’s immediately in front of you.

Fogs and High beams together give your light everywhere and can help you avoid running over shit that might cause a flat or break something. Kind of a similar niche to ditch lights.

Yea it’s been beat to death several times. Feel free to look up those posts to find the counter arguments. The question was rhetorical to make a point about “needing” fogs without headlights

I appreciate everyone's support and feedback. I have to be transparent that this product is patent protected... by another entity so... dang laws anyway! Hence the reason that things are a bit "cryptic" at the moment. That said, I have been assisting with R&D/rollout of this product, and have secured the first run of them to be distributed exclusively to the TW crew first as this place is the reason that we have been able to do what we do over here at Hotshot Offroad. Feel free to ask away with anything else you may have. I will be largely MIA here from the 17-21 of this month so if you're posting here or messaging me I haven't gone full dark.

That is correct. The only "caveat" here is that with the mod whenever you go high beam the fogs will always be on, regardless of the position of the fog light stalk switch.
Ha maybe! That fog light anytime mod is quite simple on the 2G, but there could probably be an opportunity for it.
YOU CAN DO IT! I promise. Simply pull a couple of relays, and pop them back in. You will absolutely not need to talk to a shop.
Your existing functions will not change. So if you are running DRL Off this will unfortunately not give you that power.
Yes, but can't share quite yet!
Honest-to-god pnp. No T-taps. Just circuit boards run inline with existing relays!

I've got a couple of production-spec ones that are ready to go! I'll be out of town until the 22nd as I mentioned, but @757 Taco and @Technique I've got units with your name on it! I'll get them out right when I get back, and we can get some end-user feedback to boot! They won't have final packaging, but I'll furnish you guys with everything you need for a successful install.

There’s no chance these would work on a 4Runner? I would love to have the ability to run just the fog lights with the DRL’s like the Tacoma can…not sure if this even allows for that function

Yessir! As promised! I threw a diagram in the box, but I'll also reach out to you via email with some more formal instructions so be on the lookout for that.

As I mentioned on the website listing and in the OP here we are expecting to be able to ship these early March. We just had a couple of production units ready so we shipped out 2 of them to the first folks that ordered when we made this page! They'll all be coming very soon though!
    My man :fistbump:

Whoa, that's nifty. Is that the entire thing? I'm guessing you just pop out two relays and this sandwiches in between them when you plug them back in?
