Hi. Need some of advice on what to do, I installed my DD ss3 pro fog lights today and I think I stripped the backing of where the screw goes. The screw just free spins where the passenger side doesn't.

    thanks

I got the ss3 pro fogs too, love em

For stripped threads that isn't too badly damaged try a piece of copper wire. If it's super bad, jb weld new threads

This video explains it a bit if you've never done it

Can you use a slightly larger diameter screw? You might have to JB weld or both. :notsure:

I wonder if you could find a zip tie small enough for that screw hole?

if I use JB weld and if I ever have to replace my fog light ie to water damage or the lens is cracked. I'm going to have a very fun time trying to take off the jb welded screw or jb weld in general?

My thought was to use the JB weld to fill in the hole. Then after it dries try inserting the screw so it has something to grab or bite onto. Obviously if you place the screw in the JB weld while it's drying you won't be able to remove it.

JB weld then some WD40 on the screw as a releasing agent. Once the JB weld dries you'll have new threads after unscrewing your bolt out of the JB weld.
Pam cooking spray on the bolt works too, just make sure you have it coated very well
