Fog light melted

Anybody know why this happened. I bought it used a month or two ago, but I never noticed it. The light still works but I’m not gonna risk it. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

 

LED replacement bulb and possible cheap aftermarket housing?

 

That’s what I was thinking.

 

Or just wrong bulbs in there.

 

looks like that might be a H16 19W fog light housing. Did someone put a H11 45W bulb in it?

No idea but I wouldn’t be surprised. The previous owner wasn’t that bright from the looks of it.

 

You can usually get OEM fog lights for a cheap price in 3rd gen marketplace, just verify that they’re H11 fogs

 

Does that also include the housing?

 

I got a pair of like new oem H11 fog light housings with the bulbs for around $50 bucks there. People take them off to install other aftermarket fogs. Didn’t include the trim covers since I have an SR I bought those separately but you already have those.
