Stock fogs on the 05-11 Tacos are 45w halogens. A 30W LED will run cooler, so it will be fine. However, the reflectors in the fog will be designed for halogens to give a low cut-off to not reflect light off the fog back at the driver. The LEDs could cause scatter, as the reflector is not designed for them, which would escape from the cut off and reflect light back to the driver in foggy situations, reducing performance.

Led's shouldn't run hot. I don't have a scientific answer for you, like ^^^.

How close is the color to the running lights?

How bright are they compared to the stock bulbs?

LEDs do run hot, depending on the LED. The difference between LEDs and other bulbs (like halogens and HIDs) is that LEDs heat up at the base of the LED, while HIDs and halogens give off heat from the bulb as infrared light. Therefore, without proper heat dispersion, LEDs can get extremely hot because they don't emit heat as easily into their environment.

Do LED's run hotter than halogen's? Mine don't, but maybe I have magic ones?

LEDs typically run cooler than their incandescent counterparts. If you have any LED bulbs in the lamps in your house you might notice that they are hot to the touch but won't burn the shit out of you instantly like an incandescent bulb will. In the end, watts are watts and some of that energy is going to get converted into heat. LEDs are just more efficient so they produce more light and less heat.

That basically comes down to how effectively heat is being transferred away from the LEDs. Most bulbs have a base and housing that is designed to transfer heat from the LEDs into the surrounding environment to keep them cool enough. However, if the bulb is in an area that is insulated and/or has poor heat transfer, they can get very hot. 99.9% of the time, LEDs bulbs overheating is not an issue.
