Hello Tacoma Brothers & Sisters! I recently made the switch from a 2015 Tundra, back to a Tacoma. I've had several Tacoma's in the past (2006 & 2014), but it's been a while. I ran into a snag with my fog lights & I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions....

I have a 2022 TRD Off Road with the LED headlights and fog lights. I wanted to switch to yellow fog light bulbs, so I ordered some Yellow H11's per the owners manual. I could get the factory bulb to twist out, so I removed the whole light. Apparently it's a sealed beam LED and you can't just change the bulb, so I have to buy a whole new light if I wanna change it. My question is, has anyone done this? Do you recommend a bright yellow LED replacement? I would really like to have a clear lens with yellow bulb, but I think that limits my options.

Speaking of Diode Dynamics. Does anyone know if they ever run a sale? I’m looking to pick up a set of SS3 sport yellow's. I waited for Xmas and New Years thinking they might have a 20% deal or something, but that didn’t happen. Any thoughts?

I’m in Canada, but I got the yellow sports for 15% off at Christmas. I was quite pleased, and they look great. Much brighter than stock. Although I’m now curious what the max would be like!

Hotshot Offroad here on the forums offers 15% off sales occasionally. In fact, one just ended recently from New Years.

May I highly recommend an upgrade to Baja Designs Squadrons… in Amber. I have the sports.

they will produce enough light to make you giggle like a 9 month old when you first find your toes.

I wouldn’t recommend running these on the road with other drivers. But in snow, fog and the back country they are a great swap.

    Straight forward change too. 58D1445C-F5A1-43A4-9F3E-B3F1B2A9AB48.jpg

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.

But that's the whole point of fog lights - running them during road driving situations in inclement weather where you'll be seeing other drivers. Get the aim right and well-designed SAE compliant fogs won't affect other drivers. Check out @crashnburn80 's hard work in the fog light thread.

Got a set of SS3 Max in selective yellow headed my way from the recent @memario1214 15% sale. Great service!

I suggest you take a peruse through here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/
But, the short answer is there is good reason the majority of folks are recommending the Diode Dynamics fogs.

    I've taken the mudflaps off?
I can't say good enough things about the Diode Dynamic SS3's. It's the one lighting position that DD has Baja Designs bested on. The beam is almost 90 degrees from the side of the fixture, and the cut-off is spectacular.

I got mine on black Friday for something like 20% off. Not sure if they run any other sales though.

I just put on a set of Baja Designs Squadron SAE Amber Fog lights...I absolutely love them. I went with the SAE because I travel a lot on the road in fog/rain...I have almost 150K on my truck (bought new in Jan '19). The lights really help me - I'm a bit older and my eyes are not what they used to be. I think I paid around 400 bucks.

I had amber Baja Designs Sprot Squadron - they were quite bright but didn't like their beam pattern. When driving in snowfall their beam would blind me and also oncoming traffic was not too happy about them. Have the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fogs now which have a much better beam pattern and are even brighter. They also don't blind the oncoming traffic.
