Fog Light Switch

Hey People

Had a foglight kit come from McDonough with lamps, wiring harness, relay and switch but now realize my tacoma is pre-wired.

When I removed the blank where the switch would go found the plug that was there will not fit the switch in the kit intended for the wiring harness that accompanied the package.

Can i change the plug that came on the truck with one form the kit and use the switch.

I believe the switch with the kit has 3 wires and the plug that is on the prewire has four?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response friend. I am not technical by nature so I have decided to purchase the OEM switch and relay.
