I'm about to upgrade my fog lights from LED pods that have burnt out to a larger round led, once I cut off the bracket and wire them in they will fit snug however I'm not sure what I can use to hold them in place the pods were held in place by fiberglass and have held up very well over time I'm just not sure how to go about theese. Any opinions will be helpful!20180106_172539.jpg

Those LED ‘fogs’ are not fog lights. They are aux high beam lights and should not be used with oncoming traffic and will perform poorly in fog.

That said, it may help to see the mount points you are working with. It looks as if those have a bottom mount.

I second this. I put in some 4,300 lumen Baja Designs driving lights in my bumpers fog holes. They are brighter than my HID headlights... on bright.

Truth be told, I'm pretty sure those are just cheap generic flood beam / work lights. But as you said, they're going to have a terrible beam pattern and piss off on-coming drivers to no end. Having to resort to some sort of home made mounting system is just going to make them shake and create an even worse situation. Three words come to mind here: Stop, no and don't.

I run something very similar. Floods I got off Amazon. I don't get flashed. They illuminate the sides very well. They tuck into the fog light recesses perfectly and are bolted in using the brackets they came with. For the cost and effort invested I am happy with them.

Not getting flashed is not a good indicator of acceptable street cut offs. Park your truck 20-25ft from a wall, pull the headlight fuse and turn on just the fogs. If you are illuminating above your fog light height you are not only blinding other drivers, you are defeating the primary purpose of the fog light. Realistically I don’t even see those putting out near the equivalent to the stock H11 bulb, which is also a primary headlight bulb.

Those aren't fog lights and they aren't an upgrade.

I have been running the flood beam pods in place of my stock fog lights for over a year now and was only flashed when I had LED in a Reflector housing, now that i have projectors i havent been flashed since, even with the pods. My main question is what could i use to hold these pods in place?

Don't care about fog lights. I've always found them to be useless. I honestly don't think the concept works.

These are definitely more useful than the factory fog lights were and as a replacement they illuminate to the sides rather well but not so much in the front. Initially I only ran them as off-road lights, but after seeing them from the perspective of another driver, I started running them all the time (as daytime running lights too). IMO, they're less obnoxious than many factory HID/LED setups. YMMV...

The purpose of the fog lights is to find the fog line. Near field wide angle visibility. Crossing mountain passes at night in snow storms, I can say the concept works. When the entire roadway is white, the ability to find the edge of the road with wide angle visibility while keeping the beam out of the oncoming snow field (which blinds the driver) is a significant safety feature. Being halogen my fogs also didn’t freeze over. Of course I’m not running standard fogs.

I have all the fog flood beam pods. I’ll be able to provide some pointers soon.
