does anyone know where to buy the factory wiring harness for the fog light switch? i have a factory switch with 4-pins but the plug on the harness is 6-pins. i'm not sure if i need an adapter or just remove the pins from the harness and plug directly into the switch.

I think you have the wrong plug. The foglight plug is black; and has green, green w white, blue, white w black. Then again the harness is for the aftermarket fogs right?

    hello again sir!

i got a factory switch directly from toyota. there are 2 "blanks" on my truck which behind each one there is a plug. one is green and the other is black. this wouldn't be a problem except the guy at toyota tells me that there isn't another switch but the plugs are 6-pin and i need a 4-pin plug.

Green is diff lock - so you don't have a lock. You can use them wires still just two of them - solid green & solid green with white-dash lights. remove from plug, lift lock, press inside lock down, remove pins, tape and isolate red w black do the same to the lime green one. Get blank black plug from Toyota 90980-10933

    Just a little more work...

ok so i'm assuming that the solid green wire is the power and the green & white is the ground. am i right?

sorry about this, i'm just starting getting into the wiring of everything. the only thing i know how to do is radio and speakers. lol

i gotcha. i'm looking at the diagram you sent to me a week or so ago that shows the 4-pin factory switch. sorry if i'm bugging you man but i just don't want my truck to explode! ya know?

pin 1 = i will plug the solid green wire into
pin 2 = i will plug the green & white wire into
pin 3 = power from the fog relay
pin 4 = ground for the switch.

this is my problem. i have three wire plugged into the kc light switch: the ground wire (for the illumination), the power wrie (which plugs into pin 3), and another wire (which i think comes from the relay on the lights)

    That's it...
    What's the question?...
What do you want the bought OEM switch to do? Off-On with key or any other manner?
You want to use KC harness and wire to OEM switch? (your gonna need different connectors to insert in switch tabs)

    This was too confusing then?
Your missing the plug ($5.00) and the connectors ($5.00).
Get the OEM fog plug, remove green, green w white from the 6 pin/locker.

Leave the green plug with remaining wires hide it back in behind dash.

Insert removed wires into new plug, add 2 wired connectors into plug one for ground and one from 85 pin of relay.

At the relay, tap the marker wire to the pin 86.
    Fused power to pin 30.
    Added lights to pin 87.
Fish/insert wire to switch from pin 85.
    Test then
Loom, tape and secure to existing harness the whole circuit.
