'06 base Taco. No fog lights, just the insert / cut out. Curious about installing - estimated time, wiring, lights, costs, etc.

it depends on how you want to do the install.

You can do a very cheap option for like $50-100. This involves getting a simple harness to a simple switch with some cheap cheap lights.

Or you can go all out and do a proper job for a few hundred assuming you do the install yourself.

I am not good with names so i don't remember brand names but i know someone will pitch in good brand lights.

Check that your Taco "might" have the wiring already. Missing relay but receiving terminals might be present.

For my 06 I bought this crap-o setup on Amazon for ~$40 that included the lights, wiring harness, relay, and dash switch. The lights themselves weren’t great but I ended up swapping them out for better quality LED units and splicing at the connectors.

If you’re on a budget you could just seal the edges of the lenses with rtv to prevent water and condensation from getting in and upgrade the bulbs.

Many users here will lead you to believe that every fog light setup has to be $1,000,000 to serve the purpose or flex babynuts

bought a cheap set off Amazon for my 13. even came with the black trim pieces. Of course had to reseal with rtv as they drew in moisture the first day.

mine was pre-wired so all I needed was just a relay and a dash button. the cheap button that came with the kit didn't fit the existing factory dash harness so just bought an OEM Toyota dash button.
