Fog lights for Satoshi

Hey I just found this grill shipped to my house for like $44 it is from rockauto.com by far the cheapest price I have found. So now $44 for the grill +60 for the mesh =$104. And Ill still have my original grill What do you think about color matching the grill? Do you think it would look good If I could match it up?

If its actually that grille we could practice(or use) that one. And you paint it whatever color you wanted

Sweet. Gives me an idea - put a single big ass driving light in the center (about where the T logo is)

 

Just stumbled upon some mesh that my uncle has I kinda like it to. It is a silver dimond shape mesh. He used some of it for a top layer of a strainer and the piece that he used has not rusted, I stumbled into his closet and there set a piece about 6ftx6ft. Sure beats the crap out of a $60 piece!
Ill try to take some pics of it in the next few days.

I have the mesh but I still have not ordered the grill. Porb. order it sometime this week or next after pay check comes. Ive been busy putting in some HID's. I tried installing myself, they would come on but when I switched to high then back to low they would not come back on. So I took them to a shop and after about 4hrs and 2 relays later he was able to get that fixed. Now I have to addjust them and Ill be in business. Ill pm you when I get the grill ordered and have a day planed to install.

 

Sorry I still have not got the grill yet. College and work is killing me right now. I have had a test every week now going on the 4th straight week not to mention pappers. I know I have a test every week for the next 3 weeks. So I have not had time to even think about doing the satoshi. Ill let you know when Ill be able to do the grill. Sorry I was all like yea Im going to do the grill, and then just droped off the map.

 

hahaha dont worry about it, Aaron. I know about the schedule for college. Im good friends with lifesaflaw123. and other people in college.

 

Yea thanks. Im crossing my fingers and every thing else that I might be able to do it mid november or arround then. I got to looking at the customcargrills site and kinda leaning towards the round one in the black. I think it would look cool. What you think??

 

that was my 2nd choice. I didnt get it because the 2nd gens dont have too many circles and it wouldnt match the triangles

 

Cool. I think it would look good on my 1st gen. Just wondering with my grill (see the pic above) on the very bottom there is not much there, would that be a problem trying to fasten the mesh when there is not much there to fasten to??

 

Has anyone put fog lights behind their satoshi that has a black tinted cover over them? I like the idea of fog's behind the satoshi I am building, but not sure about the slight reflectiveness of the fogs back there during the daytime. I want it to look straight black behind the grille.

It seems like I saw some fogs somewhere that had a snap on black cover- that light can shine through?

 

If theres no room to fasten it directly to the grille... then we might have to fasten it to the bumper.....
