hi guys, sorry i don't know too much about cars. what do the fog lights do? how much do they cost? mine are still empty and covered(black) ever since I bought my truck. do i just need to take that black stuff out and put 1 bulb on each side? are the lights just there to help you see in the fog? does it have any other purpose? thank you

They are supposed to be used in the fog hence the name. Just make you better seen and helps you see a bit more. Most people temd to run them without fog....like me. lol

I don't use mine all the time, but in fog, heavy rain on a dark night, really illuminates the periphery allowing you to see the white fog line and stay between the ditches.

they are mounted low on the car with a really wide beam so that in fog you shoot under the fog and see better allehedly
    I like the look
and i like the extra light they provide in the ditch
