I did my fog lights mod today where I can use it as DRL. I followed the instruction at ToyotaNation forum by 06Tacoman. It worked but after testing it by turning the headlight on- the fog lights won't come on anymore. I tried turning headlight off with no success. I was thinking maybe I blown a fuse. My fog lights are factory installed with a switch. I revert all connections back to factory specs and check the fuses with no success. Compared and checked fuses but it appears to be all okay. What could I have done wrong? What is the best way of checking fuses if it is okay or not.:(

Use a DMM ( Digital Multi-Meter. Fluke, Radio Shack or ... ) to check the resistance of the fuse ( it should be 0.0 ohms ). Check voltage at the lamp socket with the switch on it should be the same as battery voltage.

Pull the fuse and look at it....no multi meter required. If it's good, the metal element will be unbroken. If it's broken, it's a bad fuse.

Sorry but I have to ask: why would you rewire your lighting if you don't know how to check a fuse?

Thanks for the replies. I do know how to check a fuse, sometimes when things doesn't work, you second guess yourself especially if you followed everything by the book. I posted the issue hoping that may be someone had the same problem I did and could help out. I will check the fuse again. It's just it doesn't make sense at all. I even put everything back to factory specs just to make sure with no success. As you mentioned I looked at the fuse and it is not broken but I will test it with digital tester just to make sure. I appreciate any help.
