just bought fog lights for my truck and i was wondering instead of going through the hassle of wireing everything up could i just splice them to my parking lights? would this even work? they are fog lights that fit in to the stcok holes in my bumber

If you did that they would be on anytime you have your headlights on....in Texas it isnt that much of a problem but there are states ie: Oklahoma that it is against the law to have aux. lights such as fogs (yes even factory fogs) on unless conditions require it. I have been stopped and was given a warning ticket for this offense. Silly as it may be something to consider.

    Simple answer: Yeah...you can.

But anything worth doing- is worth doing right. Spend a few more hours and pull the stuff you need- Get it all set up.

Installing fog lights is pretty easy. Just install them they way they are designed to be installed. :)

If its a 6 cylinder model then its prewired. It stinks that they don't have the 4 bangers prewired.
