You're right, yellow does not fatigue your eyes as much, so there is that advantage. But considering your headlights are always on with fog lights, and correctly positioned foglights don't make up more than about 20% (that number is a total guess) of what you are looking at while driving, i don't see the advantage, even more so considering reduced output.

Now with some of the highpowered non-fog lights that people are posting, I could see the advantage in fatigue over a long night offroad drive where the fogs overpower the headlights. Still not sure Id go for that over illumination though.

I'm running these... they were about $30. I'm actually pretty happy with them, they are pretty much stock light output for whatever it's worth. But the yellow definitely makes a difference.

Will take some light output pictures when I have a chance.

Again very comparable to stock except yellow.

Agreed. There are several variables at play here. You call it 20%, I would call it substantially more. But that's also dependant on the application. I have technically had more lumens with a previous retrofit and accompanying LED off road lights, but it didn't come as close to the performance my current set up provides.

This is my own set up, Morimoto Elite HID upgrade with the Squadron Sport combos.
    IMG_20170520_210826.jpg

As far as out of the city and off road drives, the amber reduces fatigue significantly for myself (and I have ran several other set ups). But ideally, a balance of both would be preferable.

    Absolutely. ..:)
1/2 of the vehicles I owned before moving to the US had them. Im not going back to yellow. But I did just remember a real advantage, they don't blind oncoming traffic.

@T-rev is correct! These are the Amber Driving/Combo pattern but can be purchased in Spot, Driving/Combo, or Wide Cornering in Amber or White.

Our uService Technology allows for a quick and easy lens change. This gives you the opportunity to fine tune the lighting package for your needs. All you need to buy is a lens kit and you're set!

Deciding on Sport vs. Pro would come down to what you're using the lights for and how much light you need. The Squadron Sport Pair will provide at least 2-3x over OEM and the Squadron Pro Pair will provide at least 4-5x! The most popular setup right now is a pair of Squadron Sports in Wide Cornering (Amber or White). The Wide Cornering is a very wide horizontal pattern designed to light up nearfield areas and cut through poor conditions.

Give me a call, post up, or PM us if you have any questions! We offer a Forum Discount to all members that can be applied on ANY Baja Designs Product including this Plug and Play, Fog Pocket Kit.

Love the info! Someone mentioned the pro is not usable on highway bc it's too bright. Is that correct?
If there are any comparison shots w/o headlights on of the driving combo vs wide cornering that'd be awesome!

The Pro is 4900 lumens, and sport is 1800 lumens. IMO, the 1800 lumens is pretty bright for the road as well ... I treat them like they are high beams in most cases (with regard to other drivers).

Not sure if these help, but here ya go ...

@7r41lbr34k3r is correct. The Pros should NOT be used on the street unless there isn't any traffic. The Sports are NOT street legal either but we have many customers running them without issues. It is up to driver discretion when using any Baja Designs lights on the street.
