My fogs have been dead in my 2006trdor for nearly 5 years now, i attribute it to my wiring job and now have condemned the whole wiring from the relay out to be done,

i had piaa 4inch in my relentless bumper but they are in sad shape so looking to get another set or something like that, my ultimate question is what foglight kit is best these days for a direct throw in, or total bypass of stock system, for a quick install/fix?

    thanks tacomaworld!!!!!

Have you seen the wiring that PIAA ships with their lights? It's better *quality* than most, but it's crap design. It *might* work in San Diego, but anywhere with salt & moisture, you're boned.

OP, what's your wiring situation now... all added on, wired to the stock switch/relay, or a mix of both?

Are you wanting lights that go into the factory bumper openings? I’ve got a pair of LED cube pods I’d sell.

what i did a decade ago was just cut the wires and solder the wires in, worked great but being in northern ohio i can now confirm the wiring is shot with corrosion, thats why im just looking to maybe bypass the whole stock setup

That's impressive, I think mine made it 2 years or so... and that was the relay under the hood, I put proper sealed connectors out at the lamps.

I picked up a real anal-retentiveness about sealing connections from working on plow trucks and pushing snow. Seemed like anything else was just a bandaid, and would 100% guaranteed fail in the worst conditions when you needed it most... nope, doesn't fail over the summer where you catch it going over stuff pre-season, it waits til 2am in a 10 degree blizzard!

I have the LED PIAA fog kit that goes in the OEM fog holes, didn't need to use a relay because of the low amperage of the LEDs the actual on/off switch acts as a relay. yes I really wrapped the splices good but didn't solder any. I used the cheesy supplied harness from the PIAA kit
