Is anyone interested in selling their headrests? My pre-owned silver double cab didn't come with them, and when I strolled over to National City Toyota to get a quote, I was in disbelief. $1500 for all three out the door, or about $450 a piece.

I told the cashier how ridiculous that was for some cloth, foam, and metal rods. I don't think he could believe how expensive they were either because he began to chuckle as well. I guess they don't call them stealerships for nothing.

Anyways, I'm willing to bet that the 2012+ would be around that price or even higher in case anyone was wondering.

Please please please shoot me a pm if you're trying to get rid of yours (grey interior)

I only go to the dealership to obtain part #'s when needed. Then I go to www.trdparts4u.com or another online Toyota parts and order from them. Personally for headrests I'd look at junk yards, eBay, Craigslist or the web in general.

About time Toyota did something about those head rests. I took my off of my truck the day I bought it, they drove me crazy.

That's what I do with mine too. I suppose I could just fold them down, but I thought that looked strange, and I don't have passengers in the rear seat *too* often, so I just put 'em back when I have people riding with me.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
    I don't think it's a big deal.

I would do that as well, however, the storage areas are full. So, for me, this is an AMAZING new feature.

Now if Toyota would give us forward/backward adjustable FRONT headrests - perfect!

Yeah, whats up with that? Even my '91 Celica All-Trac Turbo had adjustable (forward and backwards) head rests.
