    I just bought a Gator soft tri-fold . I was in Columbus this past weekend when there was a major rainstorm . I checked as soon as the rain stopped and it was bone dry. I just can't bring myself to spend much more than the $250 I spent on a tonneau cover . So far I'm very pleased.

    Which BakFlip do you have? Did you install the weather stripping?

    I would have to look for the exact model, but it's one of the hard trifold ones. I did do the weather stripping at the back of the bed. It comes with some flexible tubing to drain any water that gets caught in the channels down to the holes in bed. I'll try to remember to get the model number in the morning.

    Ok great thank you! I'm looking to get the most water resistant model I can find. I cancelled my order for the MX4 because I had read several people who had bad leak issues with it.

    Fold A Cover. Opens from the front or back with one hand, pretty handy for me. I use a cane in the other hand.

    Are there any covers that use the existing load rails? I'd like to remove it and not have additional hardware to mess up when hauling stuff without the cover in place.

    Leer Trilogy X2T. I would stay away from the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 - the cover by Leer looks better anyhow. Some guys on here have these on there trucks I just don't feel like looking for there pictures at the moment. You can picture what it will look like by the video below. (Hey I'm sorry you might want the original Leer Trilogy as it does not have rails to install, 2nd video)

    According to the Leer website, neither the Trilogy or Trilogy XT2 fit a 2016/2017 Tacoma.

    That is why you have to go to a dealer. Leer does not sell onlne.

    @TacoWave has one on his 2017. Send him a message. I'll find you some more guys that have the Trilogy on there truck.

    @Anton is another one..

    I realize that. All I am saying, is that when you click on the "Does it fit my truck?" button - neither the Trilogy or Trilogy XT fit a 2016/2017 Tacoma. It suggests two other covers - the Ricochet and Ricochet XRT.

    The Leer website must not be up to date, if some members have them on 16/17's.

    Thanks for pointing me towards the Trilogy series. I looked at the Leer site and then filled out the online form. Had an email back from the local dealer. Super fast response from Cap World in Maryland, answered questions and gave a price of $699 on the Trilogy. I'll head there next week when I'm back home from a trip. Only having a few aluminum blocks left when I remove the cover will be perfect. Good job Tacomaworld!

    I put the same one on my new Tacoma a couple weeks ago after a lot of research (including this thread) and I am happy with my purchase so far, even though it was a bit pricey. A bit of leaking on the front corners but I don't need it to be water tight as my fishing gear is made to get wet or goes in dry bags. I do like how easy it was to install and can be fully removed easily without leaving a ton of extra hardware in the box/rails.

    I also prefer the locking mechanism on these from a security point of view as a lot of the other ones I looked at have the quick cable release that are easily opened with a coat hanger.
