Called BBQ place to see if they had the two grills I am deciding between. Yup, he says. So I drive 45 minutes there and other guy says nope... Won't have 1 of them for a few weeks... Thanks for the long Saturday drive...

I’m usually so worked up I turn around and leave.

 

They did have a demo model of one, just a smaller version. Was enough to help sway me. So internet order may still happen tonight.

 

I got a quote and then left so I can internet shop

I just wanted the instant gratification of getting one today

Oh, the grill I’ve been looking for isn’t in stock? Damn. Well you have the same grill but in full stainless, for $80 more? Done! Load it up.

$1100 and a forklift later, it’s mine.

Same day can’t be beat, it’s not always about cost, it’s about principle damnit.

 

Unfortunately, after deciding, I wanted the one they'd have to order. I almost talked myself into the other one just to get it, bit knew I'd always second guess it. But i would've still been happy with my backup option. And it was like 500 cheaper.

I did look at those too and like it, but I like the P&S has stainless steel for a lot of the components and lid.

 

Off thread topic, but the other day I took 2 hours off work for a doc appt, drove into the heart of the shit in downtown Seattle, parked in the fucked up parking garage, checked in on 2nd floor with the dude behind desk, went up to 10th floor, receptionist said doc will be with you soon, sat there half hour, said something to new receptionist who replaced other, he said doc is running behind, sat another 20 minutes and now there’s no time for full appt, have to get back to work, asked again what the fuck is up, doc is still running behind I’m told, no shit I says and please page them back there and tell them it’s now or never. 5 minutes later a lady comes out and says “doc not here, called in sick, didn’t you get a phone call?” Fuck no I says, I got no phone call and how the hell did I get through 3 people here without being told the doc isn’t here? Wtf???
