First pooper for me. I don't have a data tracking probe setup yet but according to the meat probe I had just hanging in the pit, it was +/- 3-5* when not opening the lid. The 1/4" steel takes some fuel to heat up but retains very well. I keep contemplating getting the Fire Board for more toys and tracking capability.

and yes. The weber will not be leaving. Wife asked if I was selling some other grills now... Possibly the propane grill and maybe the propane vertical smoker as I'm sure they will just collect dust now.

Happy to report that my bbq shed did not move an inch. We had some crazy strom last night, winds over 60mph plus hail. Trees and fences down everywhere. Trampolines flying two doors down. Here are some of the images from the storm and picture of my bbq shed still in one piece. Thanks to those who gave me some good advices here

    Strength in numbers .

Really, though, glad you're in relatively good shape. Storms like that can be deceivingly dangerous.

I already have hooks that I use from time to time (including a personalized one), but this one is WAY more badass. I hope this happens! I'm in for one.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
You definitely do! Homemade rotisserie chicken's are awesome. Although I don't have one for my kettle, I have one for my gasser. Also a basket like this is the next best thing for an accessory. I made my own, to the same idea, but wings are fantastic in it. You don't get the crisp, but wonderful flavor. https://www.amazon.com/Fill-Grill-Rotisserie-Basket-Standard/dp/B009JMKYQA

And our weather app said “18% chance of rain” last night. More like 118%

We had some fairly heavy rain this morning. I don't know if it's related to what you had at all.

Early in the morning it was really dark outside and windy, but nothing like what you had. No hail either. It was the one night I left the Tacoma in the driveway, though. Less concerned about the truck getting rained on - more concerned about me having to walk through it prior to a 9 a.m. meeting. :annoyed:

That was my thing, why buy this $150 gadget when I can just go to my local grocery store who sells pretty good cooked rotisserie chicken for less than $7. But then again, you can use it for pork, beef etc too right ?

Did you use a smoke tube also? If not what did you think about the amount of smoke and the quality of the smoke taste in the meat from just the pit?

Dude all the years I lived in FL I used to laugh when they would say on the weather there was a 20% chance of rain WHILE it was pouring all around us.
