Tell them the animal the meat came from ate veggies so they are eating veggies by proxy.

    Well said.

My son is an upcoming sophomore in college.

    His girlfriend is mostly vegetarian.

I keep a couple packs of the veggie patties in the freezer for such occasions.

Tonight....for instance, we are doing burgers & dogs. Not sure if she's coming over with him or not....either way I'm ready.

As others mentioned a chimney works great. I also have an electric iron that works well. If I need to get a bunch lit, or have 2 webers going, it's nice to have both.

Re-seasoning the grate on my Akorn was a near constant thing as the high temp steak & pizza cooks would burn it off.

I simply sprayed the grate down with store brand PAM before and after every cook. Worked great-grate.....:D

Thin sliced sirloin from Aldi’s, didn’t know it was that thin (wife bought it), but the bacon (for more seasoning action) after the steak was amazing!

got a gas grill with a side burner ? took me a few frustrating starts to figure out using the side burner under the chimney was the most AWESOME way to light damn near anything in the chimney.

its rocket science you know (and my wife told me too....)

I look at it this way, buying a NY Strip already cut would be of lesser quality and a pair of the strips would be over $20 in most case for anything worth having. I get to cut the thickness I want, that $100 Chunk 'O' Beef made 4 meals for 3 people ( 5 if you count my lunch tomorrow) so the math works out a little better. I can usually get 10-12 ( and a few cutting ) steaks out of one slab.

    meat aint cheap anywhere
