Build quality is good. Thick stainless steel in my opinion . Ring feels very solid for sure. Fitment, I’m too lazy and it’s too hot outside so I will wait til tomorrow morning. Will update tomorrow and post pictures

I’m not sure where you get your Ahi, but between the pest infestations, lack of hygiene facilities for the crew, and the deliberate and clear human trafficking that takes place on board fishing vessels in the south Pacific, I won’t eat any Ahi unless I know for sure it didn’t come from one of them. Northern Pacific boats are different so Salmon is in play, especially if it’s from Alaska.

I don’t like fish either generally.

I do like blackened tuna and farmed salmon.

And what ever fish is in my fish taco.

I don't care for salmon either, but shrimp, crawfish, lobster, scallops, yessir! And I have been known to eat crappie and walleye, if I'm in the mood. ;)

Rookie question: how many pounds of wing can I put on a 22" kettle, indirect? I have a little over 2 pounds, I think more would fit. Don't want to un-use grill space, ya know.

Wife has family in Alaska. Alaskan salmon is a whole different beast! I’d damn near eat that fresh out the water!

What's your process for smoking butt? Rub, injection, sauce, lump or coal, wood chunks/type, etc? You seem to do a lot so spill!

Depends on how much the direct surface is taking up? With a Vortex 4 pounds is about the max. Think with the slow n sear around 3 pounds was the max been a long time and don't remember exactly. But think you should be able to get 3 pounds on with most methods. Someday I would like to find out how many can fit on a 26" kettle!

Thanks. I will cook a few chicken tenders to fill up empty space, if there is any. Gonna wait for better weather. Hot, humid, and windy makes me stay in the AC and bug the wife. :D
