I tried this for lunch today, first time I’ve ever tried it. It was very good considering how low calorie it is. I’ve cut out pasta some time ago. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

what are my concerns with rain ? top vent is clocked so any rain entering doesn't contact the meat or the heat. anything else i should bother with ?

Just keep on going, it may cool off some so might have to open the bottom intake a bit to keep temps up. But suspect from where your at will not have to even do that. From the looks of things will be doing my steak in the rain later this afternoon. Hot enough I don't think I will have to adjust either. Time for the seafood now though.

LOL just caught your signature for the first time. This morning posted this in the 50+ thread. In response to a rabbit in Colorado. Eating mushrooms. And acting strange....

That is the nicest Father's Day card that I never got. My boys are older now, but I don't care. They are both now in the penalty box LOL.

    Happy Father's Day!

it seems to be carrying on so we'll leave it alone. should be ready to wrap in about an hour.

The title and the sig are references to work and how things go, repeatedly....it spiraled again this week, just learned more and kept going, they never change

Thinking I won't get to the 2.5 lbs. of Turf today.

Last night took some scrapple out of the freezer and had it for breakfast this morning in some bacon grease.

    scrapple.jpg

With some local maple syrup and eggs over easy.

    scrapple plated.jpg

Was almost 3 before I got hungry again and started on "lunch". And it turned out pretty awesome as well.

    surf on grill.jpg

Marinated salmon steaks, marinated shrimp plank cooked with onions, garlic and fresh thyme. And fresh pineapple with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Scallops are OK grilled but I still like them cooked in hot bacon grease the best. Only takes 3 minutes once the grease is hot so I did.

I ate 2 plates so not sure there is room for cow. At least yet..

Here is my first go at a brisket. I just have an electric smoker because I got it for $75.
    It came out pretty good.

I have a really good smoker setup. I buy it and assemble it. I come home from work and my wife has a nice smokey dinner ready.

My learning curve was really short. I don’t know what you guys are doing wrong.

Not really smoked, but I did have wood chips in with the charcoal.

I have the same one and I've had it since 2008. Watch the grease trap. I've had the whole grill catch on fire numerous times from being lazy with the grease trap.
