An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
"What we have here is failure to communicate." My sister thought she was suppose to pull a turkey out to smoke this weekend....... and I thought I was suppose to pull one out. So I smoked the smallest one and grilled the bigger one and now we have a lot of leftover turkey. That's ok, I like turkey sandwiches and I'll freeze some to put in baked bean's through out the summer and fall.

That looks awesome! If the rain stops going to do mine for lunch today. Well even if it doesn't going to anyhow will just use the gasser and grillgrates instead with some wood chips for smoke. Was thinking of cutting off the bone for the dog before I cook it. But after looking at yours he is Shit out of Luck LOL. Now I'm hungry this thread has a habit of doing that to me.

So here's a little re-cap of the cookout on Saturday - I don't have pics because I was too busy:
Everyone was served a bag lunch so my area was clear when I showed up - it was good - had plenty of table space.

I settled on a place for the smoker, got my truck situated so I could have tunes and block the breeze at the smoker. I got that going first with 2 dozen wings - Montreal Chicken & Old Bay. Old Bay got the most likes.

Corn went easy and there was far too much of it - this is a carnivore crowd...

Breast took a long time to cook - I'll take them off the bone next time and do 1/2 as much. Leg quarters went complete - I may just do quarters next time.

The pucks went easy and the dogs easier - smooth stuff.

There were a lot of things overlooked - utensils for serving and eating for example - which was not in my charge - I won't let that happen again. Other folks who brought dishes didn't really go all the way and put them out or had serving spoons - stuff like that.

Some stragglers came in way late so I'll have plates just for the Judges next time. They do a 14hr day and deserve a little more care - a warm plate will go a long way.

I had fun and wasn't stressed out - everyone was happy so I'll call it a victory.

I just ate almost half of it :anonymous: Only the Spinalis dorsi (capsteak) is left.

Piddling rain and had the idea that with the roti ring on the 22" kettle the Jumbo Joe would fit inside of it. And if the rain started again could put the Kettle lid on. It worked although rain never started hard enough that I had to test it.

    A little cherry wood smoke

Pulled at 130° and wrapped for 10 minutes. And of course cut the bone out to gnaw on first.

    Perfect. Meat butter.

What's the price? Don't forget to add the membership fee.. I don't need anything from there in that kind of bulk.
