Hot and humid here with T storm warnings and showing on the radar. Just finished working outside on cleaning the deck, almost done finally. Have an old 10x10 Gandar Mtn. pop up that fits perfectly on the deck to cover the smoker but it needs a new cover. And it is shaded enough with so many trees, but they don't help with the rain :(

Steaks thawed in the fridge need grilled and both sons want chicken too. So may be propane time again. Guess it is boiling down to I really need to find a new cover for the pop up. Or build a new covered deck :spending:

Glad my meat was froze. Would have lost it in this storm.

    More tomahawks, less radars.

    :anonymous:

I'm about to start prep on some armadillo eggs and, maybe, a fatty.

I don't get to really cook today, but I gotta squeeze in a mini-cook at least, right?

I wish, 2” of rain in an hour. Still raining, I’ll spare you the radar pick.

So much unreal delicious looking brisket you guys are posting. You are making it look super easy......and I know it's far from that.

    Outstanding eats in here.

Now that is a super use of the Slow'n'Sear.

One of these days I'm going to reverse sear a thick 'un like that.

    Looks perfect.

Wait I haven't done my radar!

    July 4 weather.jpg

That was an hour ago though and most of the lighting has seemed to stop but still raining. So it is almost capsteak time.

And have chicken to do yet tonight see how long these damn storms keep up. But chicken breasts are split and marinating and 3 walkers for me are covered in Montreal Chicken seasoning sitting on a plate in the downstairs fridge.

    Finally getting my grill-on.....sorta.

Since the deck is clean....figured I'd cook on it.

Mesquite smoke filling the air.......I'm addicted to the stuff. No worries, it'll mostly be gone by the time the yardbird hits the grates. Mostly.

Suspect grilling weather......rain may be coming in soon.

Bird is injected, rubbed and ready to roll as soon as the grill hits cruising temp.
