I used beer as foiling juice on a few flats. It wasn't bad at all. I used an IPA. I have never marinated one though.

Never did a Picanha so if you got tips. GO!! Lol

When I put them on the skewers I’m assuming I cut them against the grain? Kinda hard to tell where the grain is lol

Trusting y'all have been good on the pics in here... Didn't get any alerts to bust some chops...

Finally had a vacation (stayed at home, had family in town) after ungodly hours past couple weeks.

Managed to snag a couple picks of the only tun with Unicorn I got to do... @bvbull200

Prime Tomahawks for Dad and I. I did Unicorn, S&P for him. Fillet for wife and chicken for stepmom.

I posted the link to it that I found online awhile back but here it is again... https://easyfamilyrecipes.com/homemade-ranch-seasoning/
I recommend using granulated onion and granulated garlic instead of the powders... It's less messy.

Fired up the smoker a little earlier and dropped these two chunks on there.

    20190323_064547-01.jpg

Brisket has "unicorn" rub on it and the pork shoulder has Meat Massage - both rubs getting a go at it today.

The little piece in the foreground is the piece I notched off of the brisket to mark the grain direction.

Unfortunately, I won't be tasting the brisket. That's for a customer. At least I'm making a few bucks off of it ;). Pork belly burnt ends will be accompanying it as well.

For myself, I'm adding pork belly and spare ribs. Former with Meat Massage, the latter with "unicorn".

And since I'm already up, good morning @Bigdaddy4760 ;).
