The high end Scotch and tequila market has really driven up the prices of these used vessels. Bourbon has to be aged in “new charred white oak barrels”. Now the barrels are being re-purposed for Scotch and high dollar aged (Anejo) tequila.

They (Aussies) even have that 1907 stuff premixed with cola in cans. Seems premixed is a huge thing down there. All common brands have that option.

 

Man I bet I could talk my business partner into a trip to get some. Now if only we could figure out how to tie the laser into it.

How recently? Terrible storms late last month, seems like almost 30 people lost their lives. That was down southeast (3-4 hours away) my brother lives near there.

I “think” that’s just a display barrel. A distillery would pretty much know what they were aging... plus it seems glossy.

Agreed on that. They weren't shiny and polished when I was local. Looked like they may have added the logo on side though.

Still interested for sure in a full JD barrel of we can arrange transport with maner...

I’ll be working outside tomorrow morning (thank God) right beside the full barrel display. I’ll definitely see what’s on hand and report back. However, just keep in mind, Manors friend is almost four hours away from me. But I’ll drop my discount on that shit so fast it’ll make your head swim if we can put it all together.
