Food Smokers and Smoking Tips/Tricks/Techniques

I grew up about 20 mins from Canada so I drank a lot of Canadian and German beers back in the day. Never could get into a lot of the Americans.

 

I like a light beer, don’t get much time at home and got to get with it but enjoy it also.

 

At the end of the day kicking back and having any beer makes it a good day.

 

I grew up in Texas and love pickles and onions on a bbq sandwich. Here in Kentucky I do not.recall going to a bbq place and getting these garnishments, but in Nashville there is a place that has them for a side.

 

Got a good deal on a Weber jumbo Joe for 20.00 on offer up. I’ll be using it for my camping trip next month to Cape lookout.

 

I married a mexican woman and I cook just as much as she does and we rarely eat tacos

I married an asian (well mixed), and we eat a shit ton, but I did grow up with a Mexican step dad and we are them all the time. Saturdays usually consisted of large gatherings with enough food to feed Coxey’s army.

So I’ll have to marry one that loves them as much as me but can make them better than we can. The possibilities are endless...

Envious of all that space. My 2 car garage is way too small for my metal/woodworking ambitions.

 

Pork belly looks like the skin dried enough. Scraped the salt off, add a bit of seasoning to the skin side and it will be in the smoke as soon as the cooker is ready.

 

what's on the menu? Pork belly is already a phenomenal start!

 

Knowing us, if I get the skin right, probably some tacos for the kids while the wife and I stand in the kitchen just eating the belly lol.

 

Solid plan if I do say so myself. Well, I'd probably just hide and keep it to myself...

 

Yeah, that’s not too far fetched either. My current diet is almost exclusively animal products so it works out good that I bbq and grill a lot lol.
