As long as I have been playing with new flavors and techniques decided to do so again tonight.

Wanted a burger but I don't eat ground beef much, I use medium spice ground pork. After I made the patties poured on some Head Country marinade. And then dusted with Accent flavor enhancer you know the stuff of the 70's. Which is just basically MSG and not as bad for you as they once thought. Works well with pork too.

Let set in the fridge for a couple of hours while I worked outside. Fired up the kettle around dark and let the coals burn down. And threw on a big piece of hickory to let the patties smoke for almost an hour. With some sliced onions on the heated grillgrate side. I like carmalized onions.

Lifted the lid and opened the vents and let the coals get hot then put the patties on the GG. For the one I ate tonight put a piece of cheese on it.

    2cheese sear.jpg

Oh and toasted some King Hawaiian bread on the GG. And used slaw as a condiment.

Took quite a bit of time to do it especially compared to the gasser. But was so worth it. Besides I have had 4 empty tanks for a couple of months now LOL. It does come in handy in the winter when it is cold enough to freeze the balls off the brass monkey. But I like the charcoal and wood chunks enough in the summer, not in a hurry to fill them.

Marinade, Accent, spicy sausage patty, carmalized onions, tomato, slaw, Romaine, smoke, Mayo, and King Hawaiian Bread all took supper over the top tonight. Was my main meal today didn't eat much else. Will do again.

Yes sir, please! And understand shipping cost. Have sold off quite a few guns lately that I don't shoot anymore and don't have sentimental value to me, the ones that do stay. People complain about the shipping cost and I am still loosing money on shipping each one. Most all carriers are outrageous anymore. Spee-Dee Delivery is the only sane one left but they have a limited territory that they cover.

I watched some you tube today. All this for the lamb and just Chimichuri and EVOO for the beef. After I ground up the spices it smelled so good. I had my wife take a sniff and she said it smells like old people. ;)

Lamb is on the bottom and beef on the top.

I installed miles and miles of b-wire fence at one point in my life. That is the only thing it reminded me of. I have no idea other wise.

I'm with ya on the stretcher. Just recently helped Bro-in-law put up a ton of fencing over a few trips. that stretcher and T-post driver were my least favorite things after we were done

Don't wear a wrist watch when using that post driver. Unless you don't like the watch. ;)

No bbq or grill stuff. It's all set up like a big dorm. With a cafeteria. They serve 3 meals everyday and a nightshift lunch.
