These are cooking faster then I wanted them to. I had to turn the smoker down.... already @150 with an hour and a half left.

In the market for a new smoker and looking at deals.

My old smoker finally is worn out- vertical masterbuilt pro, propane. Nice inexpensive smoker but the inner liner started to peel. Got about 5 years out of it smoking about 15-20 times a year- ribs, brisket, chicken, etc.

Brother in law recommended pit boss pellet smokers. Leaning towards vertical vs barrell style. Any thoughts? Anyone like their pellet smoker?

I have the 820pro. Love that you can slide the top searing plate so you can sear steaks etc

5 yr warranty and they’re customer service is pretty good. Had two grates replaced no charge.

Instead of a turkey yesterday found some pulled pork in the freezer and had some with coleslaw. Decided I would have Thanksgiving today instead. Because I can. Was a wild man yesterday and had 3 beers.

Normally put the bird on one of the roti but decided to do splatchcock instead.

    grilled and smoked.jpg

Shot it full of butter and apple cider and was a great mix. And Montreal chicken seasoning on the skin. Lots of it.

Had to break the new oven in.

    oven.jpg

Green bean casserole, well kind of. With peas, mushroom soup, some smoked sausage patties cut up small, and Velveeta cheese. Topped with fried onions of course.

Fuck the pie is still in the oven!

Not like I got room for it right now anyhow.
