I was gonna try and make some today after seeing it on a FB post but then got asked to make the ribs. I knew I wouldn't have room so might try next weekend.

Hey all you bbq guys. I’m probably hitting up the following cities in July for business. Not an optional road trip not at all. Planning to kip up in the truck with the dog at nights, maybe sneak in a hotel or by the hour motel somewhere for a shower here and again. BUT it y’all have bbq joint suggestions honestly I’m happy to eat bbq for two weeks straight.

Nashville. KC Missouri (this one id really like some advice on, this one I’m looking forward to for the bbq mainly). Austin (think I’m good here as long as browns is open). San Antonio. Dallas. Houston. New Orleans. Jacksonville FL. Charleston SC. Buffalo.

My maybe spots are Grand Rapids MI and Denver. Denver will be the first to get cut if there are time restraints. But each one in TX will probably be a day in each city.

    thanks in advance.

It’s possible. I haven’t done it yet but @Misplaced Nebraskan confirmed my suspicions and said it’s not great, better just the normal way.

This we talked about the smoked queso. Better off roasting your peppers and such then place them in the queso

From last night. 1hr. in the gasser with comp. pellets in the box. Then reverse seared. Difficultly factor of about 2.4 but I wasn’t Smilin’ for the Judges.

Source is a bit suspect. I would expect that if he could monitor the temps with WiFi it would turn out better.

Queso wasn’t bad, the wife liked it, so that’s a win in my book

I'm having to rely on the lid thermo today. Started about 305, dropped to 225 so I opened up the vent slightly.

"Stick burners are the only way":thumbsup:

Not bad at all. Just not preferred to us. Worth trying though.

I can monitor... Just can't change anything. Wireless probes:D

He encouraged my learning on the pellet that is available to me to use. He did say no matter how good I got on it I could never match what comes off a stick burner. I told him I'm sure one day if I am enjoying smoking with the pellet I would be looking to step up to a stick burner. I'm only on my 2nd smoke and already thinking about it.:anonymous:
