Green Mountain offers 20lb bags 20 a piece, but if you buy 3 its 45. I have the fruit blend and really like the flavor. If you want more smoke just set you poopers to the lowest setting for a hour and then run to desired temp.

Scored a sweet deal today. Went to the grocery store to get some 1.97 a lb untrimmed brisket. Well they didn't have any good ones left. I asked the meat guy if they have more and he said he couldn't find anymore in the back. But he found a lot of trimmed briskets, and he re priced them at 1.97 a lb for me..i bought 3 of them bad boys

morning folks,, so i had a smokey mountain series propane smoker given to me the other day, it was in ruff shape. after spending a couple hours last night cleaning sanding and painting with some high heat rattle cans, its lookin half way decent, i already own a WSM 18.5 which i love. (never used a propane smoker) did some research apparently they were bought out by landman usa, anyway i found a parts list, ordered a new burning assy and igniter for a whopping 60 bucks and hopefully ill have myself a second smoker ina week or so. pics to come wen finished

I was at Costco this week and they had nice briskets for $2.45/lb, not a bad price for around here.

I actually sent my wife a text with that recipe about an hour ago telling her we need to pick up a turkey breast and make this in the next couple of weeks. We are already planning a trip to the cider mill here so we can get some good fresh apple cider for this while there.
